Since I only check email 3 times daily ( Zero Inbox plus GTD ) I did not even know there was an outage.

You drink too much RedBull, and place way too much importance on yourself. Exactly what earth shattering business or personal opportunities did you miss during the 1 hour Gmail outage? If you are so important, then why are you foolish enough to rely on an email product that has been in beta for 4-5 years? I for one am growing very tired of these so called experts that spend all day writing about Twitter, Twirlh, Gmail, Glam, Second Life, etc. Bubble 2.0 is rapidly approaching, mark your calendars…. All these bloggers are going to be out of a job soon…. Problem solved.

I can’t help but find the comparison between 9/11 and a Gmail outage to be just slightly in poor taste.

First, my Gmail was never down. Second, bad as it is, I do have MobileMe, although I would NEVER think of it as a place to go when Gmail was down, so thanks for that tip. Actually, the worst problem I had today was trying to watch “Gillmor Gang” in real time. I rarely can do it, and the one day I could the audio and video were both down…
