All they have to do is call a press conference and everyone will fly down 280 and pull into Apple's Cupertino's headquarters like trained lemmings.

Apple doesn't really use the web themselves. Their customers do, but they don't blog, or participate in community anything.

Steve, well written here. Apple was fast to market when it came to syncing users' data across computers and sharing bookmarks, contacts, mail, etc. Now that Google has done it better and more universally, it makes sense that the two teams work together to leverage where each is strong.

And Steve has got to find a way to set up Apple for a time when he's possibly no longer there. This looks like yet another step in that direction. As much as we Mac fans would like to think, he's no deity, and he won't live forever.

But we're all delusional if we think this is a one-person company. Microsoft, Google and the rest know Apple has got a deep bench, and we're going to see a lot of them going forward.
