Ok, can we see more customizations in salesforce.com.

We're using it but is starts to look really old school.

Furthermore I would like to see more intregration with other servies. Mailchimp for example.

Let the cloud comunicate.

Ok, gotta apologize to Steve. I do like his articles. Most blogs are filled with one-line dramatic headlines with no substance. Steve makes you think. We don't need any more dumbed-down media. That's what digg is for. (And no, I won't apologize to digg)

Wow, EH, I thought your post was a Gillmor spoof.. What, with the pasted-together buzz words, run-on sentences, abstract points, and lots of mid-sentence interjections. Bravo, you've just written a form of abstract comedy you can't even realize yourself!

I use salesforce. I love salesforce. I buy the stock, etc.

That being said, I often feel like Tom Hanks in Big, "I don't get it."

Most of the big cool things have appeared to me (after using) to be simple layers or repackaging that don't live up to the hype.

App store? Most of those are VERY VERY lame customizations of salesforce.

The Google Integration? Instead of integrating email I got a hyperlink that opened up my gmail and automated a BCC line that would send memos to salesforce.

To be clear - GREAT core product. All the 'leading edge value propositions' I think the jury's still out.

App store? Most of those are VERY VERY lame customizations of salesforce.

The Google Integration? Instead of integrating email I got a hyperlink that opened up my gmail and automated a BCC line that would send memos to salesforce.

To be clear – GREAT core product. All the ‘leading edge value propositions’ I think the jury’s still out.

We are heavy users of Sales Force at MediaTrust. BUT that being said it has taken a long time to get here. Much cost. Much customization which drives much cost.

These deals are good and smart. But mostly hooks to get you on the platform and usable after.... more cost and more customization..

Cloud and customer service are more what SF is about, not social networks, so I'd say "Service Cloud" makes good sense.
